Middling. There are a lot of details but some pressing questions go unanswered. It may be more fair to say there are seveal subjects and some are better explained than others.
CRUCIAL. You will inevitably fail to explain Homestuck without getting into the alien sex stuff.
Pretty fucking far out there, man.
I loved Homestuck and I don't care what you think about that. It was a cultural fucking juggernaut and the severity of the backlash against it only shows that you truly know you have something powerful to fear. And I have rarely known anything gayer. Shit was gay in a way that put the fear of God in people.
I obviously cannot tell you what Homestuck's about. It takes too long. I can tell you that you can only get so far into your explanation before you have to grapple with the all-bisexual polyamorous aliens who have a fully worldbuilt system of romance and sexuality upon which much of the plot proudly, awkwardly rests.
I am fighting the devil right now, who is telling me to just link the pages where quadrants are explained textbook-style and let the narrative do it for me. Or to link one of the many fan-curated explanations that already exist because unlike the various 60-year-old sci fi novels I am typically epxlaining on this website, Homestuck is a recent and well-documented phenomenon. But I will still explain myself.
